"Veux-tu être ma Valentine chère Chanel?

Bonjour, mon nom est Chanel! Aujourd'hui, j'ai reçu ce cœur de chocolat de quelqu'un qui m'est si chère, mon cher Philippe!"

My name is Chanel!
Today I received this chocolate heart from someone so dear to me, my darling Philippe!!
I haven´t heard from Philippe for a long time, and this was such a surprise. I had to take a seat in the hallway and just admire the beautiful box filled with delicious chocolate! I noticed it was purchased from Sarah Maloney` Dollhouse Kitchen Miniatures. Ahh Philippe always had such a good taste!!!
Speaking of good taste; I really like my new purchases from Minst.com, the mirror, the bust and the bowl with a stand.
And I who did not even imagine that he was in France, and now he´s here, in Paris!!
I even went to Ladurée yesterday, to by some chocolate for my self, never dreaming of receiving any Valentine gift!!!
I need to find his old love letters and read trough them, while I am having a cup of coffee and some chocolate!!!
The nice cake stand with chocolates and the cute little Eiffel tower are purchased at Paris Miniatures. Emma actually designed an Eiffel tower shaped chocolate for me!!

It will be so nice to read his romantic letters again, they are a real treasure to me!
And tonight I am meeting him again!!! Ahh.. about time I got my hair fixed!!!
But ohh...I need a new outfit, may be something from Coco.....
O´ I am so happy to meet my dear Philippe ! I am sure I will have a wonderful Valentine day and that is my hope for all of you too.
Happy Valentine day!

O 'Je suis si heureux de rencontrer mon cher Philippe! Je suis sûr que j'aurai un jour de Valentine merveilleux et ce n'est qu'un espoir pour vous tous aussi.
Bonne St Valentin!

Je me sens aujourd'hui romantique!

I arranged this table today, inspired by all of your different valentine posting over the last week. Also celebrating the arrival of these lovely vine glasses and decanter from Gerd Felka.
Imagine the joy of opening  your mailbox, discovering a parcel you had forgotten all about!!!
It was such a great surprise! Expensive, but great!!!
And some how February is a special month of the year for me....

The roses on the top of the cabinet and the macaroons on the pewter plate, are made by Christel.
The tea cosy is stitched by Rosanna, the macaroons on the small plates was a gift from her!
The rose-cake is made by The English Kitchen.
The bouquet of pink roses is made by a talented lady from Thailand, living in Bergen.
I am not done with the stitched carpet yet, and actually I don´ t know if it will be any good for this room. In the mean time I have borrowed the carpet from the living room!!
J'espère que vous l'aimez!

I found a new blog!

Sometimes when I look trough new posts I see interesting pictures in the sidebar, the blog listing.
Today I found a blog from Finland made by Varma (I hope this is your name!!!) http://ritarisali.blogspot.com She has decided to tell her family story through her dollhouse. I really recommend you to look into this blog. Fantastic fabrics, looks like she makes her own furniture too! For those of you who like wizards and Harry Potter...a must look!!!

Certains détails!

Here are some details of the "Daybed" in the living room.

The letter box is made after an inspiring picture in someones blog. I wanted to find the picture and credit the person, but I am not able to find it on those blogs I thought had the picture!!!!!
If anyone recognize a box like this; please let me know!
And of course the miniature letters that Linda started producing and kindly passed on as gifts to a lot of blog friends.

Enjoy!

La salle à manger!

I guess I can say that the interior work is done in this room. I am not completely sure about the furniture but they will do for now. I am almost finished with an embroidered carpet for this room, but I don´t work with my miniature as efficient as some of you :) I have set the table for a visit. My french lady is a bit nervous for this visit. Her house is not so elegant as her friends house, but still, she hope her friend will enjoy her stay anyway. She´s been traveling a long way.......

The wine bottle is from Hanneke, two of the plates are puchased from Minst.com, but one of them is a gift from Arantxa. It´s a Eurominis plate, and looks almost as nice as the one from Minst.
The fantastic pears are a gift from Kiva, next to another gift from Nancy; celery!
When I visited her this summer in Minneapolis, she was so amazed and amused to learn about my love of celery, I eat almost one packet a day!!! Any way; we were visiting Little enchantments and when she spotted the celery she just had to by me one in miniature too!!
The cheese board is made by Christel. I got the cupcakes and the macroons in a swap with her.

She (the french lady) really need some new drinking glasses for setting the table, these are her simple kitchen glasses. The problem is her shop. She tends to sell everything. If a customer asks for nice old drinking glasses she would sell hers if he likes them!!
Her guest is custom to much nicer drinking glasses, but she hopes she wont mind. After all, it´s the company that counts!!
Oh, I almost forgot; the small petit point purse made by Minst , is a gift for her friend!

French kitchen??

I am of course not done with the kitchen. It´s kind of too clean, it need to be more shabby!!
I made the niche around the window, but I have to make it look like it´s belong to the original wall, and I don´t have a sink that fits the space. Okay...I need to make one... or  buy???? I don´t know yet, but it will probably take some time to decide, and get it done!
So enjoy what I have done so far;
The cute wall cabinet is made by Evelyne Fontaine at; /http://lescarnetsdelatelierblondie.blogspot.com/

I have made the picture extra big so the wonderful food from KIVA are more visible. She made the nectarines, the fish pai, tomatoes and the mushrooms!!! The food looks just great!

I´v got the nice wine bottle from Hanneke from Holland, she also sent with them a cute wine opener!
The rolling pin and the items hanging by the stove are purchased at  the Italian fair; http://www.miniaturitalia.it/.

Some of the food items on the shelf are purchased at the same italian fair, the jars are from Country Treasures at; The Kensington Dollhouse fair

Notice the cute mouse on the toaster made by David Ward!
But does the kitchen look French at all? I know, I should have used tiles...but I made it several years ago now...and I did not know so much back then. But it´s a nice floor in it self!

Cosy dollhouse friday!

My daughter Victoria (12), was so lucky, she got a lovely Christmas cake from Margaret Cassidy.

This friday we decorated the Christmas tree in her dollhouse. We chose pastel colors to go with the decoration of the house! It made the Christmas spirit come to me =)

Girls love dolls, don´t they?

I, like every little girl, used to love dolls! Not all kinds of dolls, they HAD to look like real babies!!
Luckily, that has changed :) I still love dolls, and I have found my new favorites at: http://atticbabys.blogspot.com by the talented artist Nancy Gerber!
These dolls are so lovely and special!
Just have a look, and I am sure you all agree!!
