Off to the "Masquerade Ball"!!!

Chanel's dress for the Masquerade Ball was ready friday evening!

She is so happy about it!!!!

She has spent a lot of time in front of the mirror!!
She had to try on the mask with the dress, and she is quite pleased with what she can see!!!

She is not used to wear a dress as big as this, so she had to figure out certain things.....
And put on some make up for when those masks have to come off!!

All day she wore the dress, restless walking from room to room.
Now she can't find her mask!!!

She found it in the bedroom!!

She decides to walk around wearing the mask, she wants to get used to it.... but I think she like the way she looks!!!

She can really feel the butterflies in her stomach now,  she walks restless from room to room!!

She finally rested a bit in her living room, and decided to calm down with a glass of wine!!

"O' no I cannot drink wine she thought...I have forgotten to eat anything!"
She poured herself some coffee and tried to think of anything she had an appetite for..

"Ahh.. one of Christel's delicious cupcakes is what I want now!"

"Ohh...lucky me!!!"

Now she's upstairs again for a last look in the mirror and a spray of her favorite perfume.

She is ready to be picked up !!!

It is a warm and nice evening, the ball is going to be so much fun!!!
I think she is hoping Philippe is hiding behind one of the mask's tonight...

ENJOY

What a beautiful story and pictures. I enjoyed both very much. Chanel is truly gorgeous with her dress, and the mask is perfect with it.
Her anxiety enabled us to see her in every room, what a treat !

What a wonderful story ... It seems that of Cinderella but this time not all disappear at midnight: the princess will be back in her castle, alone and wonderfully happy!
Synnøve, your house is beautiful and finally I see the dress for the ball that had so intrigued me days ago ...
I'll be back to look at the pictures a hundred times!
A big hug

You have such a beautiful dollhouse, where do you buy such beautiful wallpaper (like the one in the bathroom and in the room below the bathroom picture)?
Have you designed the house your self. by the way?

Hi Laura,
Thank you for the nice comment!
The bathroom walpaper is purchased from a Norwegian dollhouse shop, I think it's quite common!
The black on in the second floor hallway is made from a tiny piece found on the net. Photoshopped into a sheet!!
The house is unfortunately not my design, but was made from the pictures of the house of Lea Frisoni!
THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL THE NICE COMMENTS, CHANEL SENDS HER LOVE!!!

I do hope Chanel found her Phillipe behind one of the masks, and I sure hope she got to dance all night... I bet she is pretty tired today :0) sitting in her cosy kitchen with a dreamy look on her face, remembering every detail of the night...

I´ve never really liked the idea of having dolls in the house. The fact that they are not present, makes the one who looks use the imagination and make their own story, but... a few weeks ago I found a finnish artist that makes the most stunning dolls, and now I´m rethinking ;0)

Gorgeous dress, lovely photos and nice story :)

I bought a couple of wooden mannequins at the Sydney fair, one to alter for the Brocante shop and one to keep to use as a, well as a mannequin! I want to try my hand at some period dressmaking during the winter break.
