I FINALLY MADE SOMETHING MYSELF!!!

The kit of lavender was purchased in 2007 at the Miniatura in Birmingham. It was my first fair and I was overwhelmed to finally have access to so much miniatures. We had just one day, and in just one day I also had to find the best exhibitors and the nicest minis to photograph for my newly started miniature magazine: "Et Dukkehjem". I was very modest and had to fight my way in between all those eager english women standing like a firm barrier in front of the vendor!!! But I made it and I was quite pleased with the result.
Anyway, I had some time in between photographing and managed to by some stuff. This kit is from a vendor by the name; "The Miniature Garden Centre".
I don't know if I am completely happy with the result, I feel they are not real enough?
I have also played around with the Laduree label in photoshop, and this is my first attempt to print on fabric.
Visiting Christel some time before Christmas, I was lucky enough to be part of a miniature club meeting
and I made my first attempt to make one of those pitchers that you all can make so well. My first is the one at the left! The second one was a lot better, and I also made a pink one for Victoria:)
The stands were made by coincidence, just playing around!

It is the second time I rip this chair apart and change the fabric, I think this gives it a more french and right look?
Quite happy with the pillows too!!

  12. love, love, love everything! and most of all the pitchers, so neat, and the wonderful printed pillows. Now that's a really original idea. And the last picture totally fooled me with its realism, so much that I wanted to be there. You have such good taste and a very special way to stage your treasures. Thanks for sharing!

  15. Everything looks so nice, of course :D I love the chair and especially the pillows, they are fab! I just hate my printer, there's something wrong with it when printing black, so I can't try any printing on fabric. Makes me MAD.

And I like the lavenders, they look really nice :)

  23. It all looks wonderful Synnøve!!! I think the Lavender is very pretty and realistic. Your pitchers and stands are very, very nice. I adore the pillows!!! No one looking at the last picture would ever guess it is a miniature room. I want to go sit in that chair, eat a piece of fruit and read one of those books. Isn't it interesting how miniature room can have a warm, welcoming ambiance about it.

  29. I think the lavender looks great, and so do your pitchers! very cute!
I also think the laduree pillow and the other pillows look adorable.
I know what you mean by eager people creating a barier in front of miniature stands, it's the same way at dutch dollhouse fairs, when you're too modest you'll only see backs of heads instead of any mini's at all! good to hear you had fun though!! fairs are like treasure hunting I think!
I also enjoyed your previous post very much, I'm still browsing trough the links you gave! :D
